Episode Treatment Groups^® is an illness classification, episode-building methodology. The ETG^® system uses routinely collected inpatient data and all ambulatory claims data, including pharmaceutical claims, to identify clinically homogeneous treatment episodes. ETG^®-based analysis is the foundation for superior provider profiling, clinical benchmarking, disease and demand management, and development of clinical protocols.  Use of the ETG^® system with IMI’s solution provides additional claim classification and weighting for reporting and analysis.
